Ice Skating @ Pentagon Row

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, my dad and mom took us downtown to go ice skating. I called ahead of time to see if they had Jordan's size in skates, and they did! I was so excited! I absolutely knew he was going to LOVE it! Turns out I was wrong. The first time I attempted to take him on the ice, he cried/screamed the entire time. I took him off the ice to cool down. Our second attempt was more successful. We went from me skating with him in my arms, to him sitting on the bucket, to him leaning over the bucket and skating. Jordan is a little apprehensive when it comes to new things, but I'm proud that he overcame his fear and enjoyed the ice. Love you best friend!

Early Christmas at Suzanne's

We have the best aunt, Aunt Suzanne. Each year she so kindly invites our large group over for a holiday party in her basement, which is decked out in 50's style decor (so cute!). We had pizza, salad, rootbeer and ice cream shakes - yum yum. Kevin was our own personal soda jerk (thanks dear). We also did some dancing to her authentic juke box. Thank you Aunt Suzanne for such a fun night!

Not only did Suzanne treat us all to dinner, but she got each one of us Christmas gifts. Here's Jordan fishing for his gift. What did he get?
Thomas the Train - he loved it!
Elyse adorned in her new blanket and tiara
Dayna cut Elyse's hair too. I don't think it could have looked any better if she went to a professional salon.

Taylor got these cute santa socks that have slots for each toe - too funny.

Haircut

Jordan was in desperate need of a haircut (there was a very noticeable mullet forming), so Dayna offered to step in as hair dresser. To my surprise, she did a great job! Just a little off the side burns and off the back and there was my cute little bug I remember! Thanks Dayn!

Happy Thanksgiving

This year's Thanksgiving was so much fun. Most of the Richards family came home to be together. We were sad to miss Crystal, Morgan, Bryson, Jen and their little boys. The morning started off with a yummy family breakfast with pancakes, eggs and goose nuggets (from my dad's latest hunt - they were actually pretty good).

Soon after breakfast, we played our annual family football game. Steve definitely tackled me in an effort to get the ball, but we all had a great time. My team lost, but Ryan scored a sweet touchdown by running down the field after the other team punted the ball to us - way to go Ry Guy!

Getting ready to sit down and FEAST! (me with the beautiful Jaynie)

and with the beautiful Leesee
My mom did an amazing job decorating the table with our finest china and beautiful candles and fresh flowers. It was the best atmosphere to eat such a yummy meal!
Jordan woke up from his nap just moments after being seated to eat, and he requested that he have a mohawk - so there you go. Also, he is obsessed with his new gift that Aunt Lauren got him his "Rockband" shirt. He wore it yesterday and on Thanksgiving - thanks Laur.
I am most thankful for my 2 guys!

The whole gang. The two guys you may not recognize are Taylors friends from med-school who weren't fortunate enough to make it home for the holiday, so we invited them to join us.
After dinner, during cleanup, I had a fun time with my little man. He cracks me up! mmmmm I love you Jordie!

My mom didn't take any shortcuts this Thanksgiving. From the table decor to the homemade meal, all her hard work made this Thanksgiving so special. Thank you mom! I hope you all had an enjoyable Thanksgiving spent with loved ones!

Cousin Time

This morning I finally had my camera out and ready to take pictures of these two adorable cousins. Dayna's been here for a week, and, I'm embarrassed to say, this is all I have so far...

Little Jayne and Day Day have been home for a week already, and we have been loving every minute. I caught this moment the other day of the two of them - so precious!

"New Moon"

Tonight, a group of the mommies in Potomac/Bethesda wards met up for a 9:20 showing to see "New Moon". Unfortunately, I didn't get any pics from this fun night, but we had a great turnout for a great movie. I loved this one much better than the first, what did you think?

Just loving this little boy!

"Into the Woods"

I met up with a few of the young women to see Tori perform in Whitman's production of "Into the Woods". She did a fabulous job as the Baker's Wife. Way to go!
